I never meant to go three weeks without posting to this blog. You would think that in that time I'd have something beer or running related going on that would give me something to write about, but alas, the last few weeks have been relatively quiet on those fronts. I've been running five or six days a week, but I haven't run any races, and don't have any planned in the near future (the Haunted Hustle 1/2 Marathon in October is actually the next one I'm registered for). We haven't done anything on the homebrewing front due to busy summer schedules, so my long awaited (for me at least) "Brew Day" post will have to wait at least another week.
I spent the last week in the Biloxi/Pascagoula, Mississippi, which isn't exactly a hot bed of craft brewing... (I'm pretty sure that Mississippi is the only state that still bans homebrewing.) So I wasn't able to try anything new, I actually didn't have a beer at all, so at this point I'm going on a week without beer... This is not a trend, don't worry. I did get to go on one "cool" run when I was in Mississippi. There is a bridge across the back bay there that is about 1.75 miles long that gives a good view of both the hotels/casinos in Biloxi and down the Gulf coast. The bridge raises up to about 100' above the water so that fishing boats can get through, which makes for a pretty good hill when you're coming from the Biloxi side (where this picture was taken). I think it'd be a cool race to run out and back on the span, maybe extend the race out further down the beach on the Ocean Springs side.

Vanessa and I have finalized plans to go on a vacation to Colorado in September, so during that time I will likely end up basically live blogging our vacation, since a lot of it will revolve around beer and running/hiking.
Today's run: 8 miles - 57:53 - Nice to finally get in what I consider a full run.
Today's beer: I'll be having one shortly, but I think I've reported on everything in my fridge...
